Something New!

Yesterday (Sunday 24th March) I spent a fantastic day at Rags Restaurant in Bridlington as a stall holder at their fair ‘Rags to Stiches’, the atmosphere was amazing and I met some very lovely talented people who also had stalls there. Even though the weather was very windy lots of people showed their support by coming to see us all!

This month I have held two stalls in Bridlington promoting and launching my new affordable product ranges. By now you may have seen my different designs of eco bags and my canvas make-up bags.

However, here is something you may not have seen at all!

Introducing to you my new range of ‘Pocket Mirrors’, they are available in two different designs and are sold in a silver organizer bag. They are not widely available as yet but can be found in a few select venues!

I hope you like them!

Brochure and Poster Galore For North Yorkshire Open Studio Event

This year I am delighted to be taking part in the North Yorkshire Open Studios for the first time. I was so honoured to be accepted for this event as there are some exceptional artists based in North Yorkshire. This year a total of 123 artists will be taking part (I am number ‘99’ in the catalogue!) over June 8/9 & June 15/16.

Recently lots of exciting things have begun to happen regarding this event such as the launch of the website @ www.nyos.org.uk and last week I had a chance to meet a few of the artists that are taking part when I picked up my allocation of Brochures etc. to begin distribution!

The June event is slowly creeping up on us and there is so much to do before the event! I have lots of quirky ideas to engage my visitors but for now here is a little sneaky peak of the function room at Beiderbecke’s Hotel in Scarborough where I will be taking part from.

So please visit me at:

New Shop Opens!

In a time when the word ‘recession’ is still poignant and still affecting most people it is heart-warming to hear of lots of new start-up businesses opening restoring our high streets and using empty shop spaces.

In Bridlington over the last few months I have noticed lovely places opening and they should be celebrated by shopping locally. In Bridlington’s Old town a lovely vintage clothing shop called ‘Wayside Flower Vintage’ opened last year and also fantastic up-cycling furniture store called ‘The Little Vintage Shop’ also opened. In the town centre there is now ‘Behind the times’ and just opened today to the public is a new favourite called ‘Serendipity’!
I was asked to stock some of my new products in ‘Serendipity’ and was also invited to their preview last night (Friday) to celebrate their hard work and lovely products. The first thing I can say about this little shop is that it is co-owned by three lovely ladies who make most of the stock themselves and are very well supported by their family and friends (as last nights packed out event proved)!

Looking around the shop I found lots of quirky hidden gems and particularly loved the inventiveness of some of the jewellery. Another favourite was the hand-made cushions which have the most excellent vintage and comic book inspired fabrics which were just great. It was also nice to see some of my own new products in and amongst these little gems. And the best thing about it all is that none of the items will bust your bank balance with most items costing under £10.00.

You really should go and see these thrifty treats for yourself! The shop can be found at N.2 Prospect Arcades, Bridlington.

Good Luck to these lovely ladies and Long may it continue ;)
