Sneaky Peak of North Yorkshire Open Studios!
Well it has been very hectic for me over the last week!
I will be at:
I’ve been interviewed for BBC Radio Humberside in a
conversation with the very lovely Phil White which broadcasted on Monday 3rd
June and I have also been interviewed by Yorkshire Coast Radio which will air
on Saturday 8th June all to promote North Yorkshire Open Studios an
event that I will be taking participating in beginning on Saturday 8th
June.
Yesterday I was using my muscles transporting art work from
my studio to the Beiderbecke Hotel in Scarborough and today I have been hanging
my art work and erecting my mini installations!
Here is a sneaky peak of the function room at Beiderbecke’s
Hotel where I will be working from (Saturday 8th –Sunday 16th
June) in its various stages of completion but I haven't shown every thing you'll just have to come and see for yourselves!

My new Art Work Showing at North Yorkshire Open Studios
So far this has been a very creative one for me and luckily
the ideas keep on flowing - long may it continue!
Here is a new work that I created at the beginning of the
year with the North Yorkshire Open Studios event in mind. As the open studios event
is in June I wanted to create something that was colourful and naturally
my thoughts led to Alice in Wonderland. This is the second new art work from this theme that I have produced this year and will I be exhibiting them both for the first time from my NYOS venue!

This new artwork is titled ‘Alice in Pursuit’, a mixed media
image on canvas.
I hope you like it!

Productivity!
If you have been following me recently you will know that
this year I have had a surge of productivity! Literally, I’ve developed lots of
new products!
I wanted to create a lovely affordable gifting range which I
think I have achieved and therefore I have now turned my attention to my
contemporary greeting card range by adding new stock.
The new range complements my ‘Alice’ card following the
theme of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and has again been developed from my some of my
original artworks.
You may have seen my card developed from the original image
‘The Mad Hatters Tea Party’ which arrived the other week but the latest
greetings card has only just arrived and I am more than happy with how it has
turned out!
The original image ‘She is a Flower with Messy Petals!’ was
created in January this year and was created with the notion of it becoming a
greeting card, which is an oddity in itself as I normally create artwork
because I am inspired by a particular theme. The thought of a product normally
comes afterwards when I look at an image with fresh eyes and evaluate it.
Never-the-less I do believe it works as a card and I now leave you with the
question - which one of these greetings
cards do you like the most?

Great New Company and my New Product!
I am really pleased to announce that I have begun working
alongside an innovative new company ADO- Art and Design Outlet with the launch
of their new website. I will be one of the featured artists/ designers selling
my gifting range of Make-up Bags, Eco Cotton Bags, Pocket Mirrors and Greetings
Cards. I will also be launching my brand new t-shirt design called ‘Roar!’
worked from my original image ‘Quicker by Rail - to Oz’.
The ADO business was founded by Designers and specialises in
T-Shirt design from transfer to Vinyl printing. ADO also allows you to design
your own t-shirts which would be great for special parties and other events. Another
area of their expertise includes sticker Vinyl for scooters, motorbikes, cars,
signs and windows, the possibilities are endless!
ADO now also stock another new brand called ‘Do-B Apparel’.
These guys are great as they add quirky captions to the brand name often with
cool stylised pictures.
I love them because
they are lots of fun, and I think that they will go far.

New Greetings Card!
Today I had a lovely delivery of my latest design in my contemporary greetings cards range and have spent most of the day packaging them to send on to my stockists.
The original mixed media image was again inspired by ‘Alice
in Wonderland’ and was actually created in 2011 titled ‘The Mad Hatter’s Tea
Party’.
Tomorrow I will start distribution to my stockists but you
can also purchase them through my own website.
In a few weeks’ time I should be able to post another new
card from my contemporary greetings card range so watch out for that!
